Hello all, first post.

Have just brought BP S1 (UK model) off ebay and haven't had much joy getting it to work. From what I've read on previous threads I believe it's a BOSS 6.something and it seems to be all original other than the RS232, which only had two pins still connected.

Not having any machining experience or knowing G-code I’m having problems connecting it to a PC, communication is non-existent. Does anyone have a copy of the maintenance manual for this model I could have or the manual No. and a site to get it from.

Also;

It seems many people retrofit Gecko drives, and I have been thinking of going down this route. Can the original stepper motors be retained? And am I right in thinking PC connects to G-Rex G100, G-Rex G100 connects to G??? stepper motor drives and stepper motor drives connect to stepper motors?

Hope I’m making sense, any help would greatly be appreciated.
