I finally got the mill up and running, I have some things I need to get done to it though. In the near future, I need to get the Z axis mount finished, coolant pan made, coolant pump wired up, and small things I can't think of right now. I also need to upgrade to ball screws and a VFD. It is a 10 X 54 Enco mill, with 1200 inlb servos from MCG, the X and Y are 3:1 reduction, and the Z is 4:1 reduction. Gecko 301 servo drives driven by 55 volts at 20A max. It can travel at 100 ipm without even testing the system. Tekvisions touchscreen and running Mach 3 through a 2 Ghz processor. I also have everything to add a 4th axis except the rotary table. Here are a fiew pics of the journey it has gone through since I got it. Total for everything including the mill I have about $4,000 wrapped up into it. |

| I got the touchscreen for free along with the computer. I actually have needed the keyboard more than I thought I would have, the wizards on mach 3 you have to enter EVERYTHING manually......but I am working on learning Catia, so we'll have to see how that goes. |
