Hi we have a Bridgeport Interact 4 Series 2 3axis mill with TNC150B software. We lost the battery voltage and all the parameters are gone. We have been searching crazy to find them but with no luck. Is there any posibility to get some help from you guys? We found for the 155 but not for the 150. I have called heidenhain but they wont tell me anything. And we didŽnt get any parameter list from the guy we bought it from! Thank you. /Johan. OviksNC/ Sweden. |

| This is a generic set. You will need to set backlash and travel limits. Parameters can be backed up to a PC. George

| Thanks for your help guys........sorry to say...I have not yet been able to get the machine turn on ..let alone move......still trying to satisfy the controls need for 24v dc power.....I got rid of the on screen prompt by connecting a 24v power supply to the voltage regulator but still could not get the machine to turn on....then I shorted the power supply wires and blew up my power supply.....so am waiting on George (machinetek) to supply dc scematics if possible....I am getting a little tired of this prehistoric electro-mechanical excuse for a computer....but am told if working ...the heidenhain/BP is a good cnc mill.....Ill try to be patient and contiue to trouble-shoot this thing.......a little history if you dont know yet...this mill had ALL its wires cut off and thrown away......I have rebuilt every one...750 feet of various wire types and over 200 connections.....I used the remaining wire stubs...numbers and the BP schematics to do it.....(yes...encoder wires too) ...........Golly its been fun |

| I think it is unrealistic to rewire a machine that has been hacked and expect that it will just fire up and run. Add to that that it is over 15 years old, and you can have some pretty tricky troubleshooting ahead of you. The machine is far more solid than many new machines out there, so if you think there is something wrong with the way the control works, it is probably not the control |

| .Hmmm.....how do I take that comment ? OK....lets see.....alright Ill come at this as "though" you mean well....First....I fully agree....and I dont think I stated anywhere that I foolishly expect it to just "be" perfect....If anyone has misunderstood me to having implied that, I am sorry. Do we really need to go into the details of MY Qualifications....skills...experience....I dont think its going to help in any way....suffice it to say.....I have repaired this unit...and I do expect it WILL work....and yes I have some troubleshooting ahead......This is why I have joined this forum........Now.....is there anyone who feels qualified to assist me in this ?? What I require are schematics...flow charts...service manuals.........and/or anyones pesonal experiences with this Model....Bridgeport series II Interact II........Thank You |

| Gus I apologize ! That reply looks more stabbing and arogant than I intended. You and others have been providing me with valuable information, and I fully realize that to get this thing going I NEED your help, I am getting a little worn down with this job and it is starting to show....sorry |

The SII Interact 2 is the one with the DC spindle drive? unfortunately I think they vary significantly from the earlier interact and r2c3 that I am familiar with. It would not surprise me if Machintek has the docs you need. If it is similar aside from the spindle/head assy, you may be able to find manuals that will help. I know my R2C3 manual has much more tech info than most of my other machines, wiring diagram troubleshooting flow chart etc . A 24v issue 'should' be easy enough to diagnose. once you restore the actual supply, the emo string is the first place to look. On my machines the 2 emos and the 4 hard limit switches are just strung together so when the machine fires up it does not know 'why' it doesn't have 24v, just that it isn't there. Other than the emo and limit switches, the axis motor thermostats are the only other things it mentions outside of bad wiring or bad control |
