Hi gang, Just fired this thing up. get the error relay ext 24v missing. I have found that the fuse for the 24v circuit is blown...replace and blows right away. Clearly a fault or short in the 24v circuit somewhere. Trouble is the cicuit is new to me and I do NOT have a dc schematic for this machine...does one exist ?? If you can provide any help I would gladly take it .....otherwise Im in for a wire by wire nightmare....Thanks |

| ok, i found the fault that was blowing the fuse, i still have the relay ext no dc voltage prompt......manual says to test for dc at terminals 65 and 90.....i find no voltage at all....i did test the rectifier and find 30v dc with same getting to the regulator.....but i cannot determine if the reg is working...how do i test it....what voltages should i find and where...thanks |

| Lets get on the same page first. The older Interacts had a "breadboarded" 24VDC power supply. The newer machines had one in a silver box. Never found a schematic for the never ones, just replaced them. The older ones had a Bridge rectifier, a zener diode, a regulator and a capacitor across the output (simplified). See where power stops. If it goes into the regulator but not out, it may be the regulator. Unsolder the Zener, for test purposes. It may be shorted. There may be a short on the output in the machine. Isolate the power supply and see if the voltage returns. The filtering Capacitor may be shorted, etc. George

| OK George. Thanks so far....by what you have already said I am VERY happy and confident we will get this repaired. Mine is the breadboard. So here is what I find with a dc volt meter.......at square rectifier ..30vac at 2 corners (red wires)..correct I think......32-35v dc other two cors (blue wires) also correct I believe. I removed all leads and did an isolated test of the diodes ...rec tests good. over to regulator...only has 3 blue wires on bottom left corner...the upper most 2 have the incoming dc voltage from the rectifier but I measure 0 dcv on the lowest blue wire ...I believe this is supposed to be the regulated output voltage....yes? ...no ? to the board ..is the discreet 3 legged component a triac..scr..regulator ??? I can guess but am not certain.....it is clear that the regulator has had some service in the past. Can you provide schematics...flow charts.....part numbers...I will happily receive any help you can provide.....will you provide phone service ? I would be happy to pay you for your time. Thank You |

| I have to do a lot of digging to find a schematic of this thing. I may be at my office on Friday, and will take a look. George

| WHAT ....Friday......get over there and get it NOW MISTER.............8-) lol ......seriously ...I jumped out the dc powersupply and have the machine up to the point where it says power interupted....push CE....goes to next screen showing X Y Z bla bla bla.....AM I supposed to input more parmeters or should I be able to select manual mode now....it says key invalid if I try....I would be VERY happy to get any and all schematics, flow charts any documentation you can provide for this machine....I do not have anything to help me to understand how the machine works or what systems need to be satisfied in order to start......Thanks George |
