I've been eyeing this for a few days, and in the last 12 hours it's gone from $2k to 5k: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=200138800521 Is this worth the price, or should I just look elsewhere? I like that it's been modded to run on house power and is full 3 axis, but the X travel is a little short. |

| It is a bit old and if you don't mind doing some repairs it might be worth it. Then again I have seen newer machines in better shape go for a lot less $$$ than this one. It is really up to you, but I would look into the shipping costs before considering any purchase on ebay. Just my two cents. Cheers!!!!!!

| doing your own CNC refit is a huge job and most don't get it right the first time. If you want to go right to making parts, this looks like a fair deal. You might do better, or you might just wait forever for something the same. if its what you want, go for it. Karl |

| I got my 85 boss 10 s1 machine for 1000.00 bucks.. so they do go for much less.. And I'm pretty sure I'd be happier with a bridgeport cnc then a tortch.. but then again I'm assuming the torch would be more allong the lines of my converted round pole geared head mill far as cnc capiability is concerned. (ie I don't mill steel much on my round pole but my bridgeport has no trouble with that.) b./ b. |

| the dremel mount he uses is pretty neat. I was thinking about how to do that myself. I was a little worried about using the quill but this solution looks good |
