Any Ideas Bridgeport series 1 Boss 6 or 8

Bridge port Series 1 CNC boss

I have a bench mill/lathe combo which I use to make small parts for motorcycles I wanted to step up to a large manual mill so I started looking.
I'm an electrician by trade so while on a job for a customer I discovered he had a mill he wanted to get rid of so I traded labor for mill problem is its a cnc boss 6 or 8. I think I'm over my head, I don't think I want to try to retrofit I just want a manual mill any ideas, I'm from upstate NY looking to trade any suggestions would help mill was build in 1979 taken out of service in 1986.

Thanks

Must be a BOSS 6. Boss 8 came out in the early 80s.

Now that I look at the programing manual it says Boss 6, it also has quick tool change? (air line on machine) oil system, I also have five sets of line diagrams (blue prints) showing the changes made over the years.
I have some cad experience and I'm sure with enought time & money I could figure this out but I'm not sure if I'm over my head I don't know if the money need and labor necessary to convert this mill is worth doing

In the early 90's I have started this machine. It comes in two models. One is metric and the other one is imperial. (the diffrence is in the ballscrews). The capacity of this machine is limited with the serial transfer. But if you install a BTR (behind tape reader), then you can take benefint of it. Afterward the only problem left behind is that after power loss it always forgets it zero settings. Any way you can have all the assitance you need to start this machine. My email is seeco_pak@yahoo.com.
