Hello- I am a noobie here and have been reading a lot of posts here today. A friend of mine who has a small shop has just received two Bridgeport Series I mills with the Textron logic unit. Both have ADR BTR's hooked into the Textron. My friend is a great machinist using manual operations but has absoluely no computer knowledge whatsoever. I have been tasked with getting this things up and running. I have a lot of computer experience and am experienced in AutoCAD drafting while having no machining experience. What would it take to get these machines up and running and ready to program? I learn very quickly but so far I am still in the dark on a lot of things. Any info on software, cables, computers, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time! Ross |
