Bridgeport S1 2v3e Boss8

Just picked up a Bridgeport V2E3 at a local auction.

Hopefully it will be a cool upgrade from by cnc converted round pole mill.

I know the picture is suckey but hopefully I will have better once it's delivered.

Hopefully all goes well. Anyone have any suggestions comments about these fire away.

Learned lots from the site to cnc my round pole and build my 4x8 router mill

Hopefully will not need to much help getting this running ok.. Going to see how the orignal boss 8 or 10 control works first then decide if I should Gecko/Mach it> would be cool if the boss stuff is ok to use as I'd be able to run 2 machines at once then. As I'm already shairing my controller&PC between my round pole and 4x8..

Thanks Widgit..

I knew you were looking for something automatic (ie tormach) or the like.

I'd bet you would be happier with one of these guys if the room could be found. Also would bet you have plenty of closing tool shops as we do here in michigan. But you probably know and watch. After going to this one I know I will be. I got a cabinet full of taps and endmills (enough taps to last me till end of life me thinks) for 100 bucks. With the mill I got 20 some tool holders of various types. A few years ago they used to auction that stuff separate but now they just leave the parts on the mill when putting it up.

Anyway I'll let ya know how it does once it's home and powered up again (got to dissassemble it to get it home.. Me wondering how much the base weighs..hehe)..

might have miskeyed something?

total shipping weight (according to the paper work) was like 2485lbs..

So stripped down to the base I would hope that would weigh less Hopefully striped to pieces I'll be able to get it set back up at home.
