Ive got a bridgeport machine with the cnc series 2 iron. its got to much lash in X and Y to make a good finish on parts. Does anybody know how much it would cost to get them redone ( I am assuming reground and balled)and where a good place to get it done would be. |

| Don't know the answer but here are two places that have come up before which I noted: http://www.rbcbearings.com/ballscrew...rial/intro.htm http://www.barnesballscrew.com/photo.htm I gather these kind of places will inspect the assembly and tell you what it needs. rbc says 10-30% of new price to reball, 30-50% to regrind screw. If you find out, let us know here. I may have to do that one of these days. |
