If one implements the Z axis on the Quill. Is there a requirement to provide the drive motor be it servo or stepper with a brake ? Further, does anybody have a few pictures of a good quill drive where the machine can still be used in manual mode without too much troubles ? |

| No Brake Necessary On The Quill Drive Made By Elrod For The Eztrak. And It Retained The Ability To Be Used Manually. George
