| if you are talking about an older BOSS series 1, i believe that they are running unipolar. .001 per step. there are some threads around here about updating them to use Mach, i think that some people have had good luck just phase driving the original drives straight from mach, the original drives are just transistors (no step/dir). I will be doing a BOSS upgrade by the end of summer, i am not sure if i am going to switch out the motor and drives imediately or if i am just going to try phase driving it for a while. depends on how much cash i can keep my wife from getting ahold of. |
