I recently purchased a 1984 Bridgeport R2E3 . I have a question concerning cables for the RS232 connection. I am looking to program with a laptop and would like to connect to the machine via the RS232 connection. Where can I find a good place to buy the cable and the correct adaptor for going into the machine. Thanks in advance for your help...... |

| There was someone on EBAY selling a RS232 cable, software and an adapter to the AMP 8 pin round reverse sex connector. Or you can build your own. The AMP connectors are available at Newark Electronics and such similar places. You only need a 3 conductor, shielded cable (transmit, receive, and signal ground). George
