| If you have a BMDC based ExTrak, a qualified yes. There is a stable version 5 that will work on many BMDC based systems. HOwever, there was a point in time when they had a new softare nearly weekly and some early machines needed the special version for reasons that I no longer recall. Hardinge was selling a version 6 that supposedly included engraving - we had nothing but problems when we tried to run it on our machine that originally ran with Version 5 software. There is a beta version 7 that was never officially released by Bridgeport. Some of the factory service guys who were working at Bridgeport when it closed have it and can/will/may load it for you. HOWEVER, It causes problems if you switch to metric and then shut the machine down while in metric. As long as you shut down in English units, no problem. What are you looking to upgrade and why???? |
