Hi all, I've come into some money to spend and where better than on a CNC mill. With a budget of 12,000 US I'm pretty limited on what unit to consider. I'd like to stick with R8 so as to avoid the cost of tooling purchase (I can use my current tooling) I have fully built my own ZAY (b/s, VFD, 3 axis, servo drives, geko's etc etc) but want a larger work area than my current 9"x18' & I just would like really like a full size floor mill. I don't want a tormach as its work evelope is no bigger than my home bult ZAY. Here's what I've researched so far. Hass: love'm but at a starting point of 25 k ........ Trak Knee mills: 20k Summit Smart Cut: 24k (2 hp) I see a trend here. Then I found the CNC Master's 3 axis knee column mill, complete with thier goodies for 12,000. Has the work envelope I want and appears to be a solid machine. CNC Master site Or used off ebay and get a bridgeport or clone for 9 - 11k Any recomended uinits I should be considering? Thanks guys.
