Does anyone have any experience with water jet add-ons onto existing CNC machines? I was wondering if it is worth looking into for occational use or just contract it out to local vendors. http://www.wardjet.com/MSeries.asp http://www.wardjet.com/MSeries.asp Thanks, mc_n_g |

| It's a cool gadget, but seems largely useful when you must prototype something with a waterjet. To manufacture in any quantity, seems like farming it out would be much more cost effective. I read one account where a fellow saved a huge amount by waterjetting his parts and using his CNC machines largely for final finish. The waterjet was cutting so close to finished size his machines didn't have far to go. Best, BW |
