I recently purchased a 1989 Bridgeport Interact 412. (pause for laughter.....................................................................................................). I have repaired a few thing on it and the machine was running fine until I would get an "axis drive fault" on the Y axis. At first, It would only alarm as I attempted to home the axis and , once home, it would run fine. Then it started getting more frequent to the point where the axis would not move at all. I looked this up and the TRF light on the board indicates "Drive Monitoring". I replaced the 4 transitors and 2 rectifiers and that did not solve the problem. I swapped the X & Y boards and the problem went to the X, so I know it's the board. Does anyone know what other component it may be? Thanks for any help you could provide!!!  |
