we just got this old bridgport boss 9. It powers up homes the axis but I can't get the spindle to turn.

Any help would be great

Look inside the back control cabinet and see if there is a red button to reset the contact to the spindle power.

does it use an automatic way lube pump ? if so ...check the level in the tank. If it has a float, it will not allow any spindle operations. If there is ample way lube make sure float is not stuck in the down position.

In the back cabinet check the 3 fuses to make sure they are ok.
Check the air brake to make sure you have air to it and that it is working.
