Gecko - Power-Driver for Hi-Current Steppers | | We developed a Power MOS-FET drver with the original Slo-Syn motors on our old Bridgeport CNC. While not as power-efficient as the Gecko-Drive (uses switch-mode FETS ?) - it works perfectly on the original Model: M112-FJ2502 (Spec: BM101025/BM131444) as factory fitted to our machine.
A colleague is 'fetching' 1 or 2 of these "MH112-FJ-4206" motors for our trial as replacements for the old/original Slo-Syn motors (one now faulty). We expect to try them next month.
My expectation is that our FET-Power-Driver will readily interface with the Gecko to deliver the required 10A current (and more if required).

its 1.3v 10A amp motor, but geiko controllers only handle 6-7A
has anyone come up with a workaround | |
