Hello, What could be the cause of an axis to drift? I was drilling a 2.5 in deep hole manually on a V2XT and I notice when I backed up the drill bit to remove chips the drill was off center on the Y axis but the readout was displaying the correct position. I then re position the axis to the correct location and finished the hole. The same thing happened on the second hole. Has anyone dealt with this issue? Thanks |

| It may be a loose encoder coupling to the motor, the teeth worn off the Y axis drive belt, a loose taper lock, etc. Try a feedrate to the next hole instead of a rapid move. George
