I am experiencing a problem with my X coordinate. When I drill holes, I am off by .002-.003". When I compensate by programming out the backlash, when the machine runs, it runs a little jerky. Any ideas?

[NC Cams]

1. First and foremost, wear in the ball screw support bearings (NOT tuneable via backlash comp).

Especially true if the ball screw bearing p/n is 11060203

2. Wear in the ball screw nut and/or ball screw itself.

3. Servo tune.

4. Possible cache write issue.

I'd suspect combo of 1 & 3
