Anyone here have any luck with import tooling in a Bridgeport NMTB 30 spindle (non-drawbar). On some of them the flange is too big, and even after turning the flange down it still wouldn't tighten up with the nut. But I see some good prices on some of the "Shars" brand.........has anyone tried the Shars? |

| The QC30 and NMTB/INT30 are two different things. The QC flange is about 8.7mm thick as opposed to 8.0 for the NMTB.The diameter of the flange is different also but not a problem as it could be ground down.I`m looking at making a special insert for a QC30 nut to grip the thinner flange but I have not worked out whether it is possible or not. Mark. |

| Eric/Mark - I have two BOSS 5's with the (I think) QC system with the nut to tighten the holders in. I have been scarfing up NMTB 30 tooling from Erickson and they work fine. But some of the NMTB30 imports (I tried the Bison brand) won't work unless you have the drawbar, or want to adjust your QC nut to tighten the imports (and then not have others fit). Thats why I am curious about the "Shars" brand, as there is some of those with a drill chuck available, but I don't know if they will fit...... |

Zcases, When I read your message I checked the IMPORT Collet/Drill chuck purchased on E-bay from 800Watt. It is not compatible with the BP system. No Manufacturer on the box label......just NT30-JT3 Thanks for the Heads -up! W. Smith |
