thanks guys for your help so far on this subject but does anyone know what the parremeter number is for disablement of the machine guard as i cannot start a program without this message coming up.this machine never had a guard when i aquired it.also machine parremeter for zeroing in x y z it appears when i push each button to zero in i get a figure of for e.g z =0.005mm .I tried to get imformation of webb site www.heidenhain.de but could not find any meaning of the parremeters for this control maby it is to old?help would be most appreciated |

thanks mark for the imfo on heidenhain webb site this has helped me heaps .unfortunately there does not appear to be any imformation on parameters on the machine guard diablement.i wonder if there is some sort of sequence on starting the machine up to disable this message that comes up it was never there before the machine lost it back up battery thats why i still feel it may be in the parameter list |

| Is your parameter 4310.0 =1? If not try that. BTW I had to look up the perimeter door guard parameter in a 351 control and find the equivalent in the 2500 list. In theory this should do it. I also checked this against a parameter list I was sent and it matched. George

thanks george for your help on that machine parameter on my tnc 2500 controller i had narrowed it down to one of the 4310 numbers but was not sure which one, you were dead right 0 engage 1 disengage i downloaded tnc2500 tec data on parameter list from heidenhain but could not understand all the meanings.i might try tnc 355 tec data for more imformation.once again mate thanks heaps for your help i'm hoping not to have to many more probs with it they tell me there quite reliable greg b |
