| It is common for a CRT to fail with age. I go into a lot of shops where a color CRT is sitting somewhere on the machine in place of the gray scale monitor on EZPATHs and EZTRAKs. The VMC and V2XT I have seen quite a few that have glued or mounted a LCD monitor in place of the color CRT. But the people with the BOSS 8 and 9 are the ones sucking big wind. The BOSS 8 has a 2 line LCD display originally made by EPSON and obsolete for quite a few years. The BOSS 9 used a monocromatic CRT. These were bit-mapped by the EZIO board. Again the originals are obsolete. Thus yes, I am aware that the article was about a LCD monitor in place of a color CRT. I was making a comment that the BOSS 8 and 9 conversion is a lot more difficult but would also help a lot of people with no options. George
