Bridgeport Interact 412 up & running

Finally got the mill up and running thanks to help in the phase converter section. Now I'm learning the heidenhain TNC 155B controller. The previous owner ahs also been a great help in helping me thru the early stages of total confusion. I've got so many tool holders and different bits of every size shape and alot of them are still in the sealing material. 30 tool holders with 2 tool holder racks, and about 8 boxes full of milling bits. I also learned how to import programs into the controller today and I'm able to go thru the program line by line to see exactly what the program is telling the machine to do. Makes it alittle easier to get a grasp on the system.

really anxious to write a small program and import it to see if I've got it. the controller is programmed in plain english so it's pretty easy, just need to learn the different steps.

Wow!! That is one heck of a machine to start-off with. I think you will be glad you have a full-enclosure around the machine; both for safety and cleanliness reasons. Any photos to share?

Actually the machine doesn't have a full enclosure, but I intend to build one to at least enclose the table. I have some opti glass from my last machine and will use that. Have to build a light weight metal frame to hold the opti glass. My forst machine was the shopmaster Tri-power with full CNC. the trouble with it, it wasn't production grade.

Well, that is interesting. Every Interact 412 I have ever seen had a full enclosure around it. Was it removed at some time in it's life? I would still like to see some photos.
