    BP Series I CNC - z axis dead

    I still have a dead z-axis on my Series I. The voltage at the output of T2 is good, the bridge rectifier is good but have voltage at fuse 14 is only .227V. According to the wiring diagram the only thing left is transformer T4. Can anyone tell me where it is? I can't even find it in the parts list.

    Fuse 14 is the DC side of the drive. There is also a AC fuse for that axis. FUSE 17. It is in the back cabinet along with the saturable core reactors which is what you may be refering to. Try turning the ACC board upside down, CAREFULLY! It control the current to each axis. It is symmetrical and will swap the X and Z circuit on that board. The Y will still function with the Y.

    I suggest you remove fuses F14 and F17. Now check the output voltage of the bridge rectifier at F14. This should isolate the DC power supply (bridge rectifier, caps, resistor) from the rest of the system.

    The z-axis is still dead. I tested the bridge rectifier and the forward resistance on the diodes seemed high (6.8 meg ohms) so I replaced it with a new one. Should have checked the resistance on the new one before I put it in. That didn't fixed it. I turned the ACC board over and tried that this afternoon and that didn't change anything. The z-axis is still dead and the x-axis worked fine. Guess that elimates the ACC board. What is left?
