| All 3 axis just start moving when you activate the axis for positioning,lots of screw ocitlation when just sitting idle ,again its what ever drive is selected. Really does anumber on the old noggin when your z axis just starts going negitive while your doing a too l change LOL |

| I believe you have a problem with your position loop. Since it is all 3, I would first check L1 on the BMDC and associated traces. The 5VDC for the encoders comes from the logic power supply, through the mother board and through the BMDC (and L1) to AXSBOB to encoders. George

| Let me dig up some of my old BPT service sheets. I remember a problem with "crosstalk" on some traKs when in idle. Interesting was the time I told the Service Manager of this happening during a startup ....He said "did the customer see it?" I said no, then he said don't say anything to him. Ah...the last days at Bridgeport. I stayed and found the problem on my own time. |
