| Besides EBAY, the only other source of these is Electrical South. Do not be surprised by how much they want for one as when new these boards went for about 5 thousand dollars. George

| I don't know why I really want the ERS board...... I doubt I would keep the BOSS control system once I got it working....Its just that the system overall is in such good shape....its seems like a waste to not use it. I was hoping someone out there would have an extra they could lend me just to test out my system. If I have to pay a lot for the ERS board, then I will diffinently toss the BOSS. Just because the original boards went for a lot, does not mean an old used one should still command a premium. I think I paid $2400 once for a 286 PC. I assure you, none of the parts of that PC are worth anything...and the 286 PC is more advanced than a BOSS 6.0 system. |

| Split, have a look at electrical south website, but make sure you have your trousers (pants?) tucked into your socks or you will make a mess on the workshop floor ![]() I think the reason the prices are so high is people try to keep their BOSS running and are willing to pay way over the odds to do so. The difference with computers is they are readily available for a lot less nowadays and its no hassle to junk your old computer and get a new one. If more people knew how easy it was to retrofit an old mill with modern controls I think the price of boards would be comparable to old PC parts. Hood |
