I have an XLO 602 with power feeds on X,Y,Z. I'm just thinking out loud here as I have not opened one of them to see how they are set up/wired... But I was thinking about using them as the servos for a CNC retrofit and controlling them with Gecko's. I'd like to be able to use the power feeds for manual operation and when switched off, they'd be able to be controlled by the Gecko's for CNC control. Would this be a posibility?? Dan |

| Dan, I see several problems in this idea and that is not to say there are not more, 1) No (easy) way to provide positional feed back via encoder. 2) They are gear reduction and not in any way zero backlash. Best be thinking retro and then you can use a jog button or knob, jogging is really not that inconvenient and after a while you will really like it, try manually turning .0001 ![]() Ken |

| Thanx for the reply Ken.. I knew I would have to somehow add encoders in the power feeds. I did not install the power feeds but I just took a look at them online and saw the gears.... figured that would be a problem as well. |
