| Hi Ive seen some places put the "Z" Axis CNC on the Quill and some put it on the Bridgeports "Z" table lift. I understand the power torque difference from one to the other but I am not to sure about the precision. I would preferr using the table "Z" lift for the extra travel distance. Anyone have any iput on this? Tony

| While occasionally it is nice to have more travel, you learn to keep your tools within a certain length[no drill chucks while using multiple tools] and it doesn't bug you as much as you would think. Remember the knee is still there, just like a manual mill The z on the knee is tough when drilling, slow, and tends to backlash |
