Can someone please confirm the pin-outs for a cable connecting the Bridgeport EZtrak DX II (25 way D-type) to a PC serial port 9 pin D I have been told to wire as follows but I'm a little un-certain?? 25way 1---------------1 on 9pin connector 2---------------2 3---------------3 7---------------7 4--link--5 6--link--20 I presume the links are inside the 25way D-type? should 2 go to 2? should 3 go to 3? what should I do with the screen on the cable? link to 0v? both ends?? I will be using EZutils on the PC, the main use of the cable is to back-up in a quicker way the programs on the m/c. thanks in advance, Pat |

| Null Modem cables usually have full handshake, on the 25 pin side, pins 4,5,6,8 & 20 are concerned with handshake these cross over to the appropriate counter part pin on the other end, 4 would go to 5, 5 would go to 4 etc, when jumpered out it means hardware handshake is not in effect, many systems just use software code handshake.
