Seal/Washer In UNIVER Valve Type AE 1001 Replacement On Bridgeport Help!! | | Hi Everyone! Well I got the power for my Bridgeport Interact 2 SerieII 3 Axis CNC Mill Dialed in. I also got the a 50 foot comunications cable made for it. It's a 25 pin to a 9 pin and I got the pin configuration from a tech. I still have to try it our though. But right now I'm dealing with the air problem. The spindle speed changer driven by air will only increase and not decrease and the brake will lock on auto but won't unlock when turned off. When I turned it to off it wouldn't release and a bunch of air leaks at the off position. I took some valves a part. I'm not sure if there all 3 valves? Two look the same. One is below the other two and has a fitting that swivels or free floats with an adjusting knob. Also appears to have an adjusting screw too. I'm not sure about the adjustment screw and knob? The two above all looked great. The one below had a broken seal/washer. It is a brown transparent looking washer. There was a shaft inside that screws apart form both ends. When pulled apart there are several back washer/seals on both shafts that are in good shape. It seems the 2 brown ones get dropped in the housing first(one in each side). Then you capture it when you put the to shafts in each end and tighten it. They have a 2 step bevel on on side. The Chamfer side drops into the valve housing first it appears. Anyway, I went on line today to try to locate some parts for this. You can go to UNIVER directly on line. I may have to call them tomorrow. I couldn't find thie particular series or type. I think if I had another washer it would work. It's a Type AE 1001 UNIVER, 2 10 bar, 1/min:1600, Tfluid:-5+50 C and a schematic on it. The little swivel electrical connector which mounts to the cover on the left side of this valve has UNIVER Type U1 3.5 w 100% ED V 24= on it. The Brown transparent I need replaced is 11mm(7/16)O.D. and the I.D. is 4.5mm(3/16) its 4mm(5/32) thick
It has like a 45 degree step on one side that starts around 6.7mm(.263)Dia. and tapers down to about 8.4mm(.331)Dia. which end up around 2.72mm(.107) thick and then slightly tapered there to the 11mm(7/16)Dia. on the same side. Anyway, anyone have a spare seal/washer? LOL Or the material I can make it from? Or a contact? I bet there's even a manual on all this out there somewhere..Thanks again, Hunter |
