| Here is the first part made on the converted M Head BridgePort that I finished a few days ago. The plate is 3/8 and milled in one pass. I'm runing Mach3 with Centent 10uS drives and ~45V with 720oz motors. The drive is 2:1 with original lead screws with good backlash it dosen't reflect in the things that i'm making now. One Q? I did a DXF from Rhino and converted with in Mach. The big arc in the back of the plate is pefect but the sides as you can see are lines. How do I make smooth sides?

| That's pretty sweet. Do you have a thread on your build? I'd like to see some pics of your machine and how you chose to mount the motors and such. Details are good. Looking good! Scott

I recently completed a BP clone CNC, Mach3, Geckos, giant Nema 42 steppers that were on the machine when I bought it with a missing controller. Here's the first part that really used CNC for something I couldn't have done on a manual machine, a rocket nose cone for my son's science project, using the mill like a lathe. Its funny, it looks better in real life, for the some reason the picture makes the machining marks look less regular than they really are (yeah right, but at least I believe it). Paul T. |

Yeah, what Scott said. Lets see some pics and some details of what you did and how you did it. Maybe start a new thread just for your machine build and pictures. |
