Unterhaus... I had the same problem with my series I. The Z axis motor and pulley were missing. I bought a 10 inch piece of 13 tooth stock and made my own pulley with the taper lock hub like the other axes. I think I still have part of the piece if you are interested in making your own pulley.. | Doh! I never thought of a 26 tooth pulley, wonder if it would fit. Larry, I definitely would be interested in the pulley material. Thanks, Eric On edit, I looked at the mill. Clearly there was a 13 tooth pulley on there since the belt is slightly too tight with a 14 tooth. It's not clear that the belt would have clearance with the head for a 26 tooth pulley. Also, I've never figured out how to get that belt in there. Looks like you have to remove the spindle? Last edited by unterhaus; 01-11-2006 at 01:19 AM. |

| In a BOSS 6 book the Z motor pulley is part number 12770133. Call Hardinge or a Bridgeport dealer and see if one can be obtained. George
