BP Discovery 308 & Phase Converter

I have a BP Discovery 308 with a Siemens Simodrive 611. My shop is remote so I have to power my equipment with rotary phase converters. The Simodrive 611 trips out real easy with the phase converter running it. I've borrowed a cobbled up generator to test the drive with and it seemed ok.

Siemens tech support said "our drives don't work well with RPC's, you might try a delta to wye transformer with a bonded neutral between your RPC and the 611" Those run about $1200 which is not a problem but I don't want to waste the money if it won't work.

I've tuned the RPC up and down the scale with varying results but none that solved the problem.

Any thoughts on this?

Make sure the hot or fantom leg from the phase converter is not connected to the main transformer. Check your voltage coming out of the main tranformer. You may have to move the feed wire to a different set of post to bring the transformer out put into spec.
