Bridgeport Interact 421 Milling Center - Where are the batteries??

    Hey Group,

Trying to help the person out that owns the Bridgeport 421 Interact Milling Center.

One person wrote to me and said that the 101 P/S error could be that the batteries that back up the machine parameters need replacing - and that you have to do this with the machine under power- or that you will lose the machines settings. Anybody know where that battery pack is located at in this machine? I've looked and can't find it.

Thanks for any help you can give,

    Joe

    PS:

    Are they special batteries?

Or will any brand of good Alkaline battery be an acceptable replacement?

As the controller is a GE Fanuc, made in Japan.

I have 412 and they are located on the right side of the machine if you are looking at it from the back. Look for a black plastic cover w/ chamfered corners. Mine takes three D-size batteries.
