    Bridgeport VMC760/22

    Hi,
We have one 1997 VMC760/22 with Dx32 control. And facing the problem that when ever we try to run the spindle in mdi control gives an alarm "dpcom tool changer not safe". Although when given a command to home move all the axis to home position. All the axis are working except spindle.
We check coursel switch which are working and can see them on the maintenance screen. Also check the parameters 93 and 104. 93 is set at -4.80 and 104 set at 1.5.
In the tool set up mode we can move the coursel out and in with out any problem. But can not run the spindle.
Just for info we install the new software with custom parameters, as old drive crashed and new drive was installed.
Does any one can guide us how to solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Chatrinder

Have you checked the status of the clamp switch and the tool changer back switch?

Yes we checked and found them working. Also it was verified in the maintenance screen too.
Is their any way to run the spindle as we need to run only one tool. This way we can run the production and can set the tool change later.
    Thanks for your reply.
    Regards

    111257 is the password.
If you tell it in parameters that it has 0 tools in the tool changer, it should then not work. Thus you can call up a tool (T1M6) and this also calls up the TLO and you can run the machine.

Can you please guide me how can we do it. Also today the cnc guy told me that when he was in the tool change setup by mistake press 3 that is save height and at z-axis position was where it clamp the tool. But after that we reinstal the software and default parameters. Does it may be the reason.
Also parameter 93 is -4.8 and 104 is 1.2. In the manual they said that alarm "dpcom tool changer not safe" will be because of these parameters. Can you please verify if the above said parameters are right if not then what it should be.
Is their any other way to run the spindle. We don't require tool changer right now.
    Regards
