    Great CNC-File

    Hi ,
I use a BP Eztrak 2 CNC . Its possible to work with CNC-Files greater than 250kb ? Is there cnc editor available to split great files in some small files to mill one file after the other ?

    Many thanks for your answer

    Hans

Due to the size of the memory on the BMDC, you are limited in the size of the file you can load and run. I have never run on of space using the conversational side of the machine.
The 3 axis software can DNC (drip feed) a program bigger than the memory of the BMDC.

I replied to this in your previous thread. In case you missed it just click the link below.

    Older Bridgeport with outdated cpu

I sounds like a long procedure but once you do it a few time it only takes a few seconds.

Like I always say. Learn to program. You can edit your program in word or even any text editor. Nothing fancy required. The eaisiest thing to do is just delete the line numbering if it is not required for any specific operation that calls on a line number.
Second eaisiest is to break the program at tool change.
Third is to break it anyplace you want with a return to part or program zero then a return on the next part program to where you left off.
As long as you dont turn the machine off you wont lose your reference points.
