Well, they have not made brand new 145s in nearly 25 years, so it is at least that old.
removing and reseating the cards is one option.
Afraid Heidenhain no longer supports the control
Dear All,
A friend has asked for help with his Bridgeport Interect II / Heidenhain TNC 145. The machine was purchased second hand about seven years ago by his father who refurbished it and installed a brand new TNC 145 controller.
The machine operated satisfactorily up until his fathers sudden death a year later but has been lying idle since.
Now when power is applied to the controller the CRT screen remains blank, the X,Y,X etc LEDs flash on and off and display random segments, all red lamps remain on and there is no response on depressing the CE button or indeed any buttons on the control panel.
I have stripped and reassembled the control unit looking for any obvious signs of corrosion, component failure or chip creep without finding anything out of place. Indeed the contents of the controller look as if they left the factory yesterday. All connections to the back of the controller have also been checked and nothing appears out of place.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem. Any help much appreciated.

Hi
we have a couple of the old heidenhain machines 1 of which has 145 control, have you had the CRT checked to make sure it aint knackered or simply blown a fuse, worth a look, If you can remove the screen and talk to heidenhain UK they may be able to help as they have with us in the past, If it is just the crt that's had it it will cost approx £1000 to replace or refurb
good look
