What are the differences between the VMC's (1000, 800, 760) and Torq-Cut machines (TC22 & TC30)? It seems like they overlapped in time frame but I couldn't find much searching on here. I'm guessing the VMC's were more rigid.
Does anyone know the years each was made?
VMC had Siemens AC drives and never a geared head. TC-22 and 30 had DC brush type axis motors, a Yaskawa spindle drive, and usually (but not always) a geared head.
Both had the DX32 computer based control. VMC were bigger.
