Unhappy refit or repair Bridgeport with tnc145

    Hi all
    I have a Bridgeport seris 1 interact with a tnc145

There seem to be some real problems with the cabinet wiring but the tnc145 appears to be fine

Would it be better to refit with a Galil

Could I use the drves and or motors and encoders

How can I test the drives

Is ther a manual for the drives (Bosch z15-1-240)

What analog input do the drives need,+- 10v ?

    Any advice greatfully recived

The 145 is a 2 1/2 axis control, meaning it does not do true 3 axis contours

The basics of that machine are otherwise very solid.

You may wan tot consider getting it running with the 14and then considering upgrading

a TNC 151 is a bolt in upgrade 3 axis etc

Get it running.Handy enough machine.Biggest problem with 145 is the limited programme size but will handle most work.
This is the machine and control that put cnc into most British toolmakers.
If you know the control is ok you must have had it powered up so can`t have that many issues with the wiring.

By cleaning a couple of the smaller relays that should make the main power relay kick in, I actually got it ot try to power up, Main relay did not stay in, but it imediately fried the 24 v regulated supply!!

I fitted a new 24v supply, and nothing so had to fit alternative power to the tnc and all lights up again but back to no more than that.
Someone had put the nutral on the 3phase supply direct to the cabinet earth which may be why the 24v fried??

I think I would be better to go down the upgrade route as I DO want to do 3D and probably a rotary axis later. The Galil I have is 6 axis. So help on how to use the current drives etc would be great
