    boss 8 rs232 cable

Can anyone please help me with the pinouts for a Boss 8 RS232 to AMP connector.

I cannot get nclink to talk to my machine. I have a cable for a Boss 5 but I believe pinouts are different

    thanks LB

John B sent me the correct pinouts,
"The cable to port B is just using three wires, depending if you are using a DB9 or DB25 . I’ll assume you are going to use a DB9, so the cable should be DB9-2 to AMP 8 (transmit), DB9 -3 to AMP 6 (receive) and DB9 – 5 to AMP 7 (signal ground) "

FYI: Boss 5 can do 20ma current loop to a teletype. This requires 4 wires and a shield.
Or can do RS232 which requires 3 wires as mentioned and a shield. Note that shield is only connected at one end.

Hey George, quick question for ya

How long does a boss8 auto lube run for? I want to retain the auto lube function and must connect it to a timer. The manual says it comes on around every 30 mins

On all the BOSS machines with the BIJUR, the motor in the unit runs whenever the spindle is turning. It is geared, and runs a cam that lifts and drops a plunger to give a shot of way oil about every 20 minutes. The stroke of the plunger is variable to adjust the oil output. The TC22 has the same arrangement. But the VMC machines do use timers for pump On and OFF. Those are not BIJUR units.
