Unhappy Bridgeport interact with Heidenhain TNC145

    Hi all
I real need some help with this machine

Bridgport seris 1 interact with air extras for motor speed and break. I think I have the correct wiring diagram.

    Heidenhain TNC 145 CS

Running of 10 HP converter with a 5hp idle motor to give a smooth supply.
    Spindle motor runs great

I have checked most of the obvious things but am now stuck

When I switch on the screen displays correctly with the refersnce ZYX message

    No error lights

The oil is fine and float switch OK

When I press the power enable button there is a click from the control box and then the power drops out and we are back to "power interupt" screen

I guess one of the relays is faulty or there could be a short somewhere, which relay would it be?, Can anyone give me some ideas where to look.

The Z axis is on its top limit switch

IF the wild leg of your converter is trying to run the control, this might happen.

No its not that I swaped it round to rule that out, shouldnt be an issue with an idle motor in line.

What voltages do you have on your phases?
    and
Why start another thread about the same machine when you`ve only just posted this.It means your going to end up with info spread between two threads.

380 to 410 volts on the phases

I started a new thread to get advice on updating the control system if I have to go down that route. There seems to be a welth of experiance on updating bridgeports and I dont want to make a hash of it or waste money that is scarce for me
