    Mutant Bridgeport Mill

    Mutant Bridgeport Mill

This has gotten far more complex than I had hoped…LOL

    Torq-Cut 22 graphed onto Discovery 308???

Turns out my machine is a bastard. It’s a Torq-cut control on a 308 chassis. The tech guys over at EMI said the control is almost defiantly a Torq-cut 22 and the chasiss sounds like a Discovery 308.

3 separate control boards for the axis. Each axis board has a large copper colored heat sink down its length. The Japanize Yaskawa (not sure on spelling) spindle control and 8 station tool changer with metal detents to grasp tool holders. Wiring in control matches a torq-cut 22 schematic.

Anyway thought you guys may find that one interesting.

Having a few errors I have not figured out yet. “following error” on new DOM install. Using torq-cut 22 software but I think it may be corrupted, which may be related to the following error.

I need to find another copy of the torg-cut 22 DX32 control software. If anyone has it, plz PM me.

    Thanks,
    CD

Please see pic of controller. The pic is an older one; sorry about quality, but that is the control box (hardware) that is on the back of what appears to be, and matches BP manuals for a Discovery 308.

So I can clarify my terminology, and so we are all on page, or close. LOL

This applies to these BP machines:

I call the electronic / electrical hardware that runs a CNC the “controller” Like, “Torq-cut 22 controller”
I call the software that runs or drives the controller, “controller software” Like, “DX32”
I call the mechanical hardware of the CNC, by its given name. Like, “Torq-cut 22.”

    Thanks,
    CD
