Hi all ... I was doing what some call a "tornado" pocket or drill procedure whereby the endmill describes a spiral thus creating a hole. Thus its doing G02 moves in X, Y, and Z simultaneous motion. My problem is that its a bit jerky in that it does a line or two of code, has a noticable pause, and then does another line or two of code. Is this a phenomenom related to processor speed or is there some way to make it move smoothly, without stopping? Is this something I just need to live with understanding I have an antique (but quite functional) controller? I'm using CamBam to make the post ... perhaps there is some sort of parameter that could help? Thanks! |

| All I know is that in conversational it takes ~4 lines of code to make such a move CC IX .5 F100 CP IA720 Z-1 F100 Z.5 F2000 syntax is not correct since I just whipped it out of my head, but there would be no pauses Your pauses are either because it is trying to stop at corners, or your drip feeding or possibly machine setup |
