Editing Individual Machine Parameters - Heidenhain 151B

Hi ... I'm a newbie to the Heidenhain world having just purchased a Bridgeport Interact II. Can I individually edit the machine parameters from the console - or must the whole list be re-entered in order to edit a single parameter?

Specifically, I need to edit parameter 72 ... changing it to an '8'.

    yes you can

    IE press 'goto' 72

    when in the parameter screen

    enter the number you wish

    press 'end block

    some parameters are not decimal

IOW if the parameter reads 0001

you must enter '2' for it to read 0010

    Gus,

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I'm afraid you may need to talk down further. I can't even navigate back to the parameters page. In the manual for Heidenhain 150B and Q's, it appears to only discuss getting to parameters by removing the buffer batteries.

Can you describe each keystroke to get there?

I appreciate your patience and experience!

I apologize ... after searching through a few more threads, I came across my answer from "JohnA" posted in 2007:

    Press the MOD key once.

Press the UP ARROW once until the CODE # prompt appears.

Key in the code number 95148 and press the ENTER key. Press the GOTO key, the appropriate numbers, and press the ENTER key to access the desired parameter or use arrow keys to cursor thru parameters. Edit if needed.

Exit by setting cursor at parameter # zero and press the DEL BLOCK key (with the square icon) to exit.
