I am a new member here, so Howdy everyone. Am in the process of retrofitting a 1988 Bridgeport/Textron Series 2 Interact 2to Mach3, Smoothstepper, C23 BOB from CNC4PC, and Dugong drives. Retained the original SEM 145vdc servos. After contacting Balazs at CNCdrive about recommended PID values for tuning the Dugongs, he suggested that I ask here. He could not recommend any specific starting points but knew that several of you guys have used the Dugongs on the big Bridgeports. I still need to install shielded cables from the drives to the servos. Found out the hard way that induced current in the original wires can make really weird things happen. Other than that, I should be ready to start tuning soon. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks in Advance. |
