I have a Bridgeport TC-2 that gives a Coolant Motor Overload alarm. The problem occurs at power up. I have been told this machine has no sensor relay for this alarm. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, PPM |

| There is more than 1 overload in this machine. And they are wired in series. Usually I am asked about a spindle overload alarm (older machine) but in reality it was the overload for the spindle motor blower fan. I will have to check the schematics as this is a CIB (control in a box) machine with Yaskawa drives. i should be able to do this tomorrow at the office. George

| sheet 3 of the wiring shows that overloads 1 and 2 are in series and will output a spindle drive fault (in theory). They monitor the spindle dynamic braking resistor and the spindle blower fan motor. The flood coolant is turned on by CR3 (right side of same page). I cannot find CR3 and the flood pump circuit anywhere in my 11 pages of schematics. The VMC800/1000 with a CIB shows that there is a 3 phase pump with overload and a circuit breaker. I believe the TC uses a single phase coolant pump like the TC-22. It was fused through the AUF board. My TC 1, 2, 3, and 4 maintenance manual is dated 1996 and REV A. It you have a newer manual, I would like to correct mine. George
