I just got my 1995=ish V2XT to power up. I want to know if the DX-32 Controller has a Conversational Mode or is it G + M Code Only?
Thanks Mike

It is G and M code, but, if you can find somewhere to purchase EZSPS-MILL, and use the BAT file install-mc, you will have conversational. EZSPS was intended for a PC or MC and was the EZTRAK conversational software by BPT. Or you can get a CAM system.

I do have SmartCam, i think its level 12? With that i'll need a POST for the V2XT.
Thanks Mike
Hi Mike,
Check the V2XT programmer's manual for a list of the canned cycles. These cycles require that you enter data and then the control writes the G & M code for you. All you need to do is write a few simple lines and you have a program. The programming manual gives you all this info.

Jim, thanks for the info. I did make a few " Air Cuts " or " Government Cuts " with the V2XT today. There is a " F Key " that says EZSPS and when i push that F Key it reloads the same screen. Does this mean i have a conversational feature with the mill? I don't have a V2XT programing manual, i did find the canned cycles and ran a few of them. I need to play with it more.
Thanks much Mike
Yes, but you still need to know that all Zs in the drilling canned cycles are unsigned incremental values, etc. You still need to study the book.

You have to get into DOS and see what is on the Hard drive. It might be a corrupted batch file or a good batch file going to something that no longer exists. You may have a windows F key also. That does not mean it is there either.
