I have cut a contoured path with a large radius (~8") on teh side of a part using mastercam x5. IT was cut using a .375" end mill on z bridgeport discovery CNC with a DX32 controller. Instead of getting a smooth contour it cuts with a faceted or segmented contour. Still looks nice, but not what I expected. I have attached a picture of the part. Not sure if this is a setting in mastercam that is causing this of if it is inherent to the machine? Any advice is appreciated, |
