Need Help!- Series1 R2E3 problem

My cnc will except a program when I 1st turn it on. I may be able to load 1 or 2 more in the morning but after running it steady for a few hours the control will just keep erroring out and will not even show the * to send the program. Just keeps erroring out every time. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so where to look or test for it. I have replaced all the communication wires thining it may be something easy but the problem is still there. Can anyone help thanks Stan

Is this on DNC or REM load? What program are you using to load (ezlink ?) , settings (baud rate ,parity,stop, and handshake) and how many wires on serial cable are you connected to(3 or 4)?

I have been using the same computer and Bobcad software to load into the machine for the past 4 years. Never had this issue before. I have the setup using 4 wires for communication. I only send the prog. to the machine and make any edits in the software then reload. the settings are all the same as when I first set this up, but i did try to change them to see if it made a differance. No luck.

Sounds like a thermal issue. Comm is through the EAF board. What is the status of the single green LED on the board. What are the voltages of the 2 logic power supplies (one on the door to the EAF and one in the wireway to the EMC). Are your fans running?

George I just looked and the fan in the cab isnt working. If the board you are referring to is the one that all comm wires go to the 1 green light is lit.
